IP Network Setting:
- DHCP
- Static
DHCP: By default DHCP is enabled. You can assign static IP address from app or the web interface. If DHCP is enabled, IP camera will get DHCP router assigned IP.
Static: To assign static IP to the camera, assign an available IP address. Make sure not to assign an IP which has already been assigned to other device. If you assign same IP to two devices - both of them may stop working.
Using Browser(s):
Using dbell app:
Subnet Mask: Class C Network address default is 255.255.255.0
Gateway: Typically a Gateway IP is the router's IP address.
DNS: Same as Gateway address, or ISP DNS or OpenDNS etc.
MAC: MAC address is a unique identifier of the camera, manipulating MAC will void warranty.
DNS configuration Type:
- DHCP
- Static DNS
DHCP: Server assigned DNS
Static: Same as Gateway address, or ISP provided DNS or OpenDNS etc.
If you are not familiar with Networking, we suggest keep DHCP or default settings. If your camera stops working after you made the changes,
- Try power cycle the camera. If that doesn't resolve the issues-
- Reset camera to retrieve the factory settings.
