If you forgot the camera password or for any other reason if you need to RESET dbell PTZ IP camera to factory default, follow one of the method which best suits your situation:
- Hard Reset dbell PTZ camera
- Soft Reset dbell PTZ camera
PTZ IP camera with Wi-Fi antenna + attached cable Reset switch:
PTZ IP camera without Wi-Fi antenna and No cable attached reset switch:
Remove lens cover to access the Reset button.
1: Hard Reset dbell PTZ Camera: (when dbell is offline or not connected to Network)
- Press Reset (white button) for 10 seconds then Release. Repeat twice. Release reset button.
- Camera will start calibration to confirm reset is done. If calibration doesn't start after 20s press the Reset button again for 10s.
- After Reset is successful camera will start self-calibration, let it continue.
- Wait 2 minutes then setup camera to your app
- If you are asked for user name & password - enter admin for both fields. This password will be over-written by your user name and your pasword for the app.
- Once setup is done either Pan or Tilt to stop the calibration
- After Reset camera will restore all settings to its factory default, all customization will be lost.
- Redo dbell camera app setup
2: Soft Reset dbell from app: (when dbell status is online)
- In your dbell app Click Settings (4-square icon)
- Scroll down, Click Reset dbell
- After Reset camera will restore all settings to its factory defaults, all customization will be lost.
- Wait 2 minutes then setup camera to your app
- If you are asked for user name & password - enter admin for both fields. This password will be over-written by your user name and your pasword for the app.
- Once setup is done either Pan or Tilt to stop the calibration
- Redo dbell camera app setup
