Why is there a new dbell app?

To help you get the most out of your dbell, we’re working to connect products and services from dbell with other vast ecosystem of devices that work with dbell. We are working to seamlessly transition our existing users over to the new dbell application. In the meantime, we encourage you to stay on dbell HD live until we notify you that you are ready to transfer over. dbell HD live will eventually be retired.

How is the new dbell app different than dbell HD live?

As we bring together the dbell and IoT services, we are ensuring that all of the features you love are available in our new mobile app.

We have added new feature set to help you get most from dbell, to name a few:

1. Upload motion and sound detected events to your cloud storage (Dropbox, OneDrive, iCloud, dbellcloud)
2. Show live view in HD all the time
3. Improved user interface etc.

How long will there be two apps?

We do not have a specific sunset date for dbell HD live, but it will not happen until the new dbell app can support you, our existing customers. We will let you know ahead of time before dbell HD live is no longer supported.

Will I have to switch to the new app?

If would like to take advantage of the new features. We will be sending you communications as necessary to help you with the transition process.

Will the dbell HD live works with the new app?

Yes, the new dbell application will be available on iOS, Android, Android TV and fireTV.

Can I transfer my setup from dbell HD live to the new app?

Yes. We want your transition to be as seamless as possible. We will let you know when transition tools are ready. Stay tuned!

Why can't I log in to the new dbell app?

The new app uses the dbell login system. If you hold a dbell account, you will soon receive an Account Update email to walk you through updating your dbell app.

What do I need to do to prepare for the new app?

For now, you do not need to do anything. Use the dbell HD live app as usual. We will let you know when to be transition to the new dbell app.
